International Day of the Girl: ACTUA will be hosting a panel of innovative women in technology and STEM careers. I have been invited to attend and extend the invitation to parents of students (female or students who identify as female) interested in attending, please RSVP me (a note or call the school and leave a message) so that I may sign us up as a group. Parent(s)/Guardian(s): our excursion to the Innovation Lab at George Vanier Secondary School has been postponed. When it is rescheduled, a new form will be sent home. The families who paid in cash, those funds have been sent home with your child(ren). The families who paid online will have this put on hold as it is recorded at this time, and carried over when rescheduled.

Today, our visit at the Royal Ontario Museum with Indigenous Knowledge Resource Teachers and parent volunteers was a busy one. Students took part in a short guided tour of the Indigenous Peoples Gallery, and then explored on their own with iPads to capture cultural objects they wise to learn more about. As a class community, many of us are continuing to build our attentive listening skills and showing mutual respect.
