Dear McMurrich Community,

The Be The Change Student Committee will be launching the We Create Change Campaign. We Create Change is about taking the small things that we have and putting everyone's together to make a big difference by collecting loose change. Your loose change will be used to help a fellow global citizen and will support We Villages. We are challenging the McMurrich school community to collect change to help create change.

According to we.org:
- 1 in 4 children in the countries are living in poverty
- 18,000 children die every day from causes related to poverty
- the United Nations is aiming to end extreme poverty by 2030 as part of its Sustainable Development Goals

Our CHALLENGE to YOU is to collect a small bag of change over the winter break. Ask your family and friends for their spare change, collect it and bring it back to school after the winter break. This initiative will run from Friday December 20, 2019 - Tuesday January 7, 2020. We appreciate your support and we hope everyone will collect change to create change.

Thank you and have a safe Winter Break.
The Be The Change Student Committee
Thank you for all of your gifts of warm wishes.
It has been a great four months into the school year.
I can't wait to see what the next six months bring!
Have a WONDERFUL winter holiday!
We'll see everyone back on January 6th, 2020!
Remember to bring back your curiosity, energy and an open mind towards learning!
