Students have their Room 204 welcome letter to share with parent(s)/guardian(s). Please, both parent(s)/guardian(s) and student, initial or sign the welcome sheet to indicate that you have both read and understood the information shared.
A TDSB package of forms (Permission, Media Release, Medical Information) have been emailed to parent(s)/guardian(s). If you have not yet received this email please inform the office (416 393 1770). Please discuss and complete these forms before or by Friday September 6th; as we begin to showcase/highlight our class community of learners in our class Twitter account (@McM_MsT) and other forums; and attending excursions throughout the school year.
Agendas: each student has received an agenda of a monthly layout to schedule class activities, excursions and team events for the school year. Remember to jot down information and check your agenda for dates to share with your family.
READING: students are reminded to bring a book to school to read, they are also invited to borrow books from our classroom library. DAILY reading at home is encouraged. The Toronto Public Library is a wonderful place to borrow and sign out books or ebooks. I have sent home a copy of a form to apply for a library card as we will be visiting them to sign out books and take part in events this school year.
Indoor/Outdoor Shoes: to maintain our flexible seating options in our class community and to be prepared for gym during physical activities, please bring a pair of indoor shoes to wear during the instructional day and kept in your own backpacks at the end of the day. No articles of clothing or footwear to be left behind; this minimizes personal items going missing.
Origami Water Balloon: for students who requested to continue creating their own paper lanterns (sign in with your TDSB email)
